David has written columns for the Kamloops Daily News since the turn of the millennium, January, 2000 until the paper closed in 2013. The column, titled Eye View, View columns. After newspaper closed his columns can be found on his blog.
Writing is important for David because it informs him of what he is thinking. "It's a kind of self-revelation," he says, "what was vague becomes lucid." He would write even if his column weren't published.
