Send a letter or email to any or all of the following.  Here are some writing points that you can use.

  • Kamloops is the only regional centre in Canada where CBC TV can't be received on the airwaves.
  • About 10,000 viewers in our region have lost access to CBC TV.
  • Those who lost access are the most loyal viewers.
  • Most of those who lost access can't afford to get cable or choose not to because they don't want to pay for dozens of channels they will never watch.
  • We pay for access to programs through taxes, so CBC should provide them.
  • CBC is the largest TV and radio network and without studios reporting from our region, we are invisible to the rest of Canada.
  • How can Kelowna's CBC radio studio speaks for Kamloops when we are different regions?
  • The condition of CBC's license with the CRTC is that they provide service, not take it away.
